Explosion-Proof Cable Reel with 7 m Grounding Cable
For the safe dissipation of electrostatic charges that may occur during the filling or emptying of metal containers such as barrels, IBCs, or buckets. The cable reel is ideally suited for areas where exposed cables are undesirable. It is used together with our TIMM BITE Grounding Clamps for unmonitored grounding.

The grounding cable has an extendable length of 7 m and consists of a flexible copper cable (4 mm²) with a green-yellow outer sheath for clear identification of the grounding function. The integrated locking mechanism allows strain-free operation. For automatic rewinding, a short pull on the cable is sufficient – the spring-driven mechanism then reels it back in.

The robust stainless-steel housing reliably protects the cable against environmental influences and mechanical damage. A rubber bumper and the limitation of the grounding clamp’s connection length prevent the clamp from striking the housing. In addition, the maximum extension length is marked on the cable to protect the reel mechanism from being pulled out too far. The wear-resistant stainless-steel cable inlet ensures safe and smooth cable guidance back into the reel.

The cable reel is ATEX-assessed for use in hazardous areas with explosive gas and dust atmospheres in Zones 1, 21, and 2, 22. It is designed for establishing a temporary bonding connection (Grounding connection) in accordance with IEC TS 60079-32-1 and IEC 60079-14.
