At TIMM, Russian participants of the BMWi manager training program learned first-hand what makes German SMEs so strong.
21 years ago, the advanced training program of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) was launched with Russia as a first partner country. As manager of the program, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) offers a four-week practice-oriented training for Russian upper management executives. In this way, executives will be prepared specifically for business initiation and economic cooperation with German companies.
As president of the German-Russian Economic Federation, Dr. Thomas Overbeck – owner and managing director of TIMM – is particularly close to the heart of this program: “For the second time we were able to welcome interested young people to our company, who were surprised in how many different ways you can lead a company. In particular, the company’s success on the basis of flat hierarchies with a lot of personal responsibility and an open error culture is difficult to grasp for the participants.” That is why Dr. Overbeck personally takes the time to explain his approach to the Russian executives and to give insights into the business processes at TIMM.
